Duke City Roller Derby (DCRD) is New Mexico’s first flat-track roller derby league. A non-profit amateur sports organization, DCRD is dedicated to athleticism, empowerment, and sportsmanship in flat track roller derby. Its members are committed to teaching and growing the sport, and to providing leadership development opportunities within its community.
DCRD is a 100% volunteer owned and operated organization. Founded in 2005, the league has competed as a member organization of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) since its inception. The league’s junior roller derby team, The Marionettes, teaches teamwork and athleticism to girls ages 8-17.

Duke City Roller Derby participates in community service efforts and has participated in these activities since its inception. These activities not only build partnerships, but also support local charity and non-profit organizations by offering them wider exposure with our fan base and financial support.
2016 events include:
- Volunteering with People Helping People
- Participating in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb with the New Mexico Red Cross
- Assisting with the Ronald McDonald House annual Girls’ Night Out
- Supporting the Rat 66 Public Art Unveiling
- Public appearance at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science Member's Night
Previous partnerships include: New Mexico Red Cross, Ability Walk, Rape Crisis Center of Central New Mexico, Albuquerque Kings, Animal Humane New Mexico, The Ronald McDonald House, Santa Fe Children’s Museum, New Mexico Library Foundation, Color Me Rad Run benefiting NMX Youth Sports, Rio Grande Valley NM Blue Star Mothers, The Babes and Bullies, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and more.
DCRD is regularly present at community events, including UNM Clubs and Organizations Day, Albuquerque Pride, Muertos y Marigolds, Twinkle Light Parade, and Brews, Blues and Barbecue.
