Exciting News!

We are thrilled to announce that after months of work, Duke City Roller Derby is officially a non-profit organization in the state of New Mexico. While the business officially incorporated as a non-profit in March, we started doing business under that license effective May 1, 2015.

Our league was originally founded as an LLC, which in our early years meant we had fewer regulations and more latitude to function. Though the business-decisions made on behalf of the league were as though it were a non-profit for years since all funds raised and earned went directly back into the business to support the development of flat track roller derby in the greater Albuquerque area, we are so proud to have our corporate structure finally reflect our league identity and goals.

Duke City Roller Derby is composed entirely by volunteers. No one is paid to participate. Hours of business work, training and community outreach are tirelessly done by our fantastic members.

Thank you to all of our fans, volunteers, and sponsors for all of your support. We’re excited for the next ten years of Duke City Roller Derby.
